Hold your breath! These might just be the most shocking controversies of Hrithik’s career.
1) Distanced from Kareena
Back in the day, Hrithik and Kareena starred in a lot of movies together. But news started spreading that their relationship was slowly moving from ‘strictly professional’ to a little personal and the Roshan family, including his wife Susanne, raised objections. Soon, he distanced himself from her and refused to act with her in any project!
2) The link-up with Barbara Mori
Barbara and Hrithik were said to be more than colleagues, while shooting for Kites, and this did not go down well with the Roshans. In fact, Rakesh Roshan is said to have asked the filmmakers to chop out a few steamy scenes from Kites!
3) When Suzanne walked out of their home
The news of the link-up hurt Suzanne so much that she packed her bags and left the house! But after a couple weeks, all was said to be fine between the two.
4) The consequent divorce with Susanne
But it seems like the link-up with Barbara was too much for their love and in 2013, the duo applied for divorce. The news left many shocked as the couple was together for 17 long years and had two sons together.
5) Tiff with Salman
Allegedly still sour with Aishwarya’s after their breakup, Salman denounced Guzaarish by saying that, “Koi kutta bhi nahi gaya hoga.” *cough*Marigold*cough*
6) Bachchans vs. Hrithik
Dhoom 2 released just around the time Aishwarya and Abhishek’s wedding was announced, and the kiss between the to-be Bachchan Bahu and Hrithik irked Bachchan Sr. Things got so bad that the director had to cut the scene out of multiple copies of the film!
7) The war against Kangana
Recently, the news of Hrithik and Kangana’s breakup hit the media after they were rumoured to be dating for quite a while. In a classic case of washing their dirty linen in public, Hrithik alleged that Kangana has Asperger’s Syndrome while she retorted by saying that it was him who used to hit on her. So much for class.
