Who does not love to greeted by a loving pet at the end of a hard day’s work? Well, celebrities are no different. Here are the top 10 contenders who are known for showing some canine love!
1. Koena Mitra
This Bong actress is known for her love for dogs. Not one, not two, she has eight dogs at home: Cookie, Jiggy, Sushi, Missy, Bella, Fluffy, Jerry and lastly Dude (the only male). They vary in breeds, from Pekingese to Terriers and Poodle. She loves going on late night drives with this lot.
2. Salman Khan
What Sallu bhai has tremendous affection for his dogs. After his first two pets, bullmastiffs Myson and Myjaan, passed away, he was grieving for a long time. He now has two others called Myson (named after his first pet) and Mylove. Quirky names, we know! This Bollywood bachelor maintains a dog blog, and according to it, “From them I learn patience and forbearance. The unconditional love that they teach me to share is timeless and beautiful. Love like this is the highest kind of love.”
3. Amitabh Bachchan
A man is known by the company he keeps, and for Big B, only a big dog will suffice.Shanouk, his precious Great Dane. Although Bachchan senior says that ever since his granddaughter Aaradhya entered the Bachchan household, the poor dog has been feeling a bit left out!

Piggy Chops loves her cocker spaniel, Brando. Apparently he was named after Marlon Brando of ‘The Godfather’ fame.
5. Shreyas Talpade
This man loves dogs so much that his two Labradors – Knight and Don – aren’t enough. While shooting for Malamaal Weekly 2 at Wai, he befriended a stray dog whom he has named Mankoo. Mankoo would come visit him on the sets and sit next to him during meals, and Talpade would feed him with his own hands. Apparently the dog would not eat otherwise. Now that is some canine love!

PETA activist Shilpa Shetty has a Pekingese dog and two Persian cats. The dog is called Champagne, and looks like a ball of fluff.

Tusshar’s dogs are called, wait for it, Whiskey and Risky.And he loves shopping for them. It is in fact rumoured that he once got them diamond collars!
